David is a fully qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a super-specialty interest in hand and wrist surgery
Since qualifying in 2000, David has completed extensive surgical and specialist training in Australia and overseas. David held registrar positions in Melbourne’s leading Plastic Surgery units, including The Royal Melbourne, St Vincent’s, The Alfred, The Royal Children’s, Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit and Monash Health. He holds a master's degree in surgery and the FRACS (Plast.).
David undertook hand and wrist super-specialty training over two years in the UK and Europe, visiting and training under some of the world’s pre-eminent Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgical experts in advanced hand and wrist surgery. David is, therefore, one of only very few plastic surgeons in Australia who can treat all hand and wrist conditions.
He is an active Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Australian Hand Surgery Society.
David holds a public appointment at Monash Health.
